Drawing Bingo
In this activity, students are given different drawing themes on a Bingo card. See how many drawings you can complete to get "Bingo". Click on the "W" to the right to download the bingo card.
Line Artwork
Think of as many different lines as you can and create an artwork using lines. Use any coloring tools you have to add color, even just blue and red pens! Check out the song about lines below to get some line inspiration.
Instructions:
Please choose one activity to complete per week while we are away from school. To "turn in" your work, tell me which activity your student(s) completed in the comments section. You can also submit a picture of their artwork in the comments section. Comments are located at the bottom of the page.
Chalk Art Positive Message
We could also use some positivity right now! If you have some sidewalk chalk, use it to create an artwork that has a positive message. Here are some examples! I am also including a video to help you get inspired. If you don't want to write a message, draw something that would make someone smile.
Rainbow Scavenger Hunt
Watch the video first to learn about the different colors of the rainbow. Then go on your very own scavenger hunt to find an object for each color of the rainbow. Check out this website for more scavenger hunt ideas!
Operation Kids Care
Right now residents at nursing homes are not receiving visitors. Maybe you have a grandparent or someone else that you love that you can't visit with. Making that special person a card to tell them how much you miss them is a great way to show them you care. If you don't have anyone in mind, you can send in your cards to the MRL radio show and they will mail them to nursing homes in the area. Their address is:
The MRL Morning Show
1520 South Blvd
Suite 300
Charlotte, NC 28203

You can make your card out of anything you have laying around! If you don't have paper, use a paper bag or an envelope! You can even use the inside of a cereal carton.
Painting with Markers
No paints at home? No problem! You can create beautiful watercolor paintings with washable markers!
Supplies Needed:
-
Sheet of paper (anything works as long as it isn't construction paper)
-
Washable markers
-
Q-tips, paintbrushes, cotton balls, anything that you can use to add water to your paper
-
Cup of water
Art & Music
Visual art and music are two art forms that can easily be combined to create amazing works of art. Check out these lesson ideas Mrs. Osborne and I came up with that combine art and music. Each lesson is inspired by a book. Click on the W below to download the lessons.
